Lock Desktop helps its users to secure their work when they are away by locking their computers.This program provides security that cannot be breached easily even by rebooting the system. This program is compatible with the entire range of Windows systems.
Lock Desktop comes with a user-friendly interface. This program secures the system in two modes: Administrator mode and User mode. To administrator, it gives the advantage of customizing some Registry settings, including hiding the Windows Shutdown menu and the Control Panel. Users can enable/disable download and boot keys as well, and restrict other users from modifying the program's settings.
A unique feature of this program is that it cannot be uninstalled without the administrator password. This program makes a log of all the attempts made to access the system, which helps users to keep track of all unsuccessful logins. This program locks the computer in different styles, too: such as Normal protection, NT-style protection, and Windows 2000/XP protection. Users can also provide startup protection to their computers in one of these styles. |
